Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 14, 2026
Flash ("the app", "we", "us") is an alarm app published by Prince Soli. This policy explains what information Flash collects, why, and what you can do about it. Flash is built to keep almost everything on your device — this policy is short because there isn't much to collect. It's also viewable inside the app itself, from Settings → Privacy.
Information we collect
Flash only collects information if you choose to create an account. Creating an account is optional — you can browse the app, and view, edit, and delete alarms and sounds you've already made, without one. An account is only required to create a new alarm.
If you create an account, using Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or email and password, we collect:
- Email address
- Display name, if you choose to set one
- A unique account identifier generated by our authentication provider
If you use Sign in with Apple's "Hide My Email" option, we only ever see the private relay address Apple generates — never your real one.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or browsing activity, and Flash contains no advertising or analytics tracking of any kind.
What stays on your device
Your alarms, custom alarm sounds, and any video you select to create one, are stored locally on your device only. They are never uploaded to us or to any server — we simply don't have a copy. If you delete the app or your device, that data is gone unless your device's own backup (e.g. iCloud device backup, managed entirely by Apple) includes it.
How we use your information
The account information above is used only to:
- Sign you in and keep you signed in across sessions
- Show your name and email back to you in the app's Account screen
- Determine your Flash Premium subscription status
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Third-party services
Flash relies on a small number of well-known services to work, each of which processes a narrow slice of information on our behalf:
- Firebase Authentication (Google) — stores your email, display name, and account identifier, and verifies your identity when you sign in. Governed by Google's Firebase privacy documentation.
- Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In — used only to authenticate you if you choose those options; governed by Apple's and Google's own privacy policies.
- Apple's App Store / StoreKit — handles all Flash Premium subscription purchases directly. We never see or store your payment details; Apple processes payment entirely on its own systems.
Diagnostic and technical information
Flash does not use any analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. We do not receive device identifiers, advertising identifiers, usage analytics, or crash logs from your device. (Apple may independently collect aggregate, anonymized install and usage data as part of operating the App Store — that's governed by Apple's own privacy policy, not this one.)
Notifications
Flash does not send push notifications and never collects a push notification token. Every alarm is scheduled and delivered directly by iOS's AlarmKit system, entirely on your device, whether or not Flash is open.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account inside the app. This immediately and permanently removes your email, display name, and account identifier from our authentication provider. It does not delete alarms or sounds already saved on your device, since those were never tied to your account in the first place — you're welcome to delete those yourself from within the app at any time.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict how we use it. You can exercise most of these rights yourself, directly in the app:
- View or change your name — Settings → Account
- Delete your account and all associated information — Settings → Account → Delete Account
- Revoke Flash's access to your Apple or Google account — from your Apple ID or Google Account settings, not from within Flash
For anything else, or if you have questions about your rights, email us at support@useflashapp.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
International data transfers
Firebase Authentication, which we use to sign you in, is operated by Google and may process and store your information on servers located in the United States or other countries outside your own. By creating an account, you consent to this transfer, which is protected by Google's own security and privacy safeguards. Firebase's servers process your IP address only as a normal part of any secure internet connection, in order to sign you in — Flash itself never stores or has access to it.
California privacy rights
If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell your personal information, and never have.
European and UK users
If you're located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your account information based on your consent (when you choose to create an account) and our legitimate interest in keeping Flash secure and working correctly. In addition to the rights listed above, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children's privacy
Flash is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
Account information is handled by Firebase Authentication, which encrypts data in transit and at rest and is operated under Google's security practices. We don't operate our own servers or database for your personal information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above and post the revised version at this same address.
